The agreement

The ground rules for a workspace that acts on Git.

By creating an account or using Branch Manager, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Your account

Keep your sign-in method secure and use the service only in a way that is permitted by applicable law. If you use Branch Manager for an organization, make sure you have authority to do so.

Your connections

Connect only Git accounts, organizations, servers, and credentials you are authorized to use. Choose the smallest practical credential scope and rotate a credential if you believe it was exposed.

Responsible use

Do not use Branch Manager to access systems without permission, bypass security controls, distribute malware, interfere with the service, infringe rights, or use someone else’s credentials without consent.
Git actions

You choose the provider and confirm the target.

Branch Manager helps you view Git-provider information and send the repository actions you explicitly request. Your selected Git provider remains the durable system of record for its resources.

01

Confirm before you act

Before creating, updating, or deleting a repository, confirm the selected server, account or organization, and repository. You are responsible for each instruction you send through your account.

02

Treat deletion as irreversible

Repository actions can be difficult or impossible to undo. Branch Manager relays the action you request to the selected provider; that provider controls its own deletion, recovery, audit, retention, and account policies.

03

Follow the provider’s rules

GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, and any self-hosted Git service you connect operate under their own terms, policies, APIs, and availability. You are responsible for complying with those rules.

04

Protect repository content

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for repository content and instructions you provide. These terms do not transfer ownership of the Git resources maintained by your selected provider.

Service and data

A product that evolves around the services you connect.

Branch Manager depends on external services for authentication and Git-provider access. Those services and their APIs can change or be unavailable, and the product may change as it evolves.

Changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Branch Manager as the product evolves. We do not promise that an external Git provider, API, integration, feature, or availability level will remain unchanged.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how account, connection, provider, and privacy-safe product-use information is processed. The policy is part of these terms.

Stopping use and account deletion

You may stop using Branch Manager at any time. You can request deletion of your Branch Manager account and saved connections through the signed-in account-deletion flow. That request does not delete repositories or other data held by a Git provider.

Access and updated terms

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or connected systems, or to comply with law. If these terms change, we will post the updated version and its effective date here.

First-pass terms status

These terms are a practical, source-aligned first pass for the current product. Before paid plans or a broader public release, Branch Manager will publish its legal service provider, final commercial terms, governing-law and dispute details, consumer notices, age requirements, and any additional terms required by applicable law. Until then, this page does not promise a paid-plan model, service-level commitment, or a specific legal venue.
